Motor and RC control work. The chassis does not.
01 // Overview
oblivYon is a 4WD rover built from parts, started in January 2022. It runs on a Raspberry Pi Pico, an L298n motor driver and a FlySky RC receiver, with HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensors and NeoPixel LEDs on board.
Motor control and RC control work today. Independent motor control, forward obstacle sensing and collision braking are planned for v0.1. Front and rear lights, a rear sensor and rear collision braking are planned for v0.2. The mechanical side, chassis, motor mounting and suspension, is where the build is stuck.

Four motors run through an L298n driver from a Raspberry Pi Pico. A FlySky receiver takes commands over RC. This works now.
A forward HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor and independent motor control, with braking before a collision. Planned for v0.1, not built yet.
Front and rear NeoPixel lights with programmed indicators, a rear ultrasonic sensor, and rear collision braking. Planned for v0.2.
Chassis, motor mounting and suspension. No mechanical reference design has been chosen. This is where the build is stuck.

oblivYon is a personal project, not a product. Motor control and RC control work. Chassis and suspension are unsolved. There is no schedule for what comes next.
A high-fidelity remote control UI with a smooth live webcam feed is being reworked around a Raspberry Pi Zero. More details coming soon.
